METALLICA, GHOST, SLIPKNOT, SPIRITBOX & More Nominated For GRAMMY Awards

Foo Fighters and Queens Of The Stone Age got in there too.

The 2024 GRAMMY nominees have been announced and by and large, it hasn't been too surprising. Some highlights include Metallica, Disturbed, Slipknot, Ghost (who got nominated for an Iron Maiden cover, but whatever), and Spiritbox all vying for Best Metal Performance the category, and Metallica making it in there a few times. Shout out to Queens Of The Stone Age and Foo Fighters as well for making it onto the list a few times as well; Queens Of The Stone Age in Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album, and Foo Fighters in those two plus Best Rock Performance.

The list of relevant awards in the rock and metal categories are:

Best Rock Performance

  • Arctic Monkeys – "Sculptures Of Anything Goes"

Best Metal Performance

Best Rock Song

  • The Rolling Stones – "Angry"
  • Olivia Rodrigo – "Ballad Of A Homeschooled Girl"
  • Queens Of The Stone Age – "Emotion Sickness"
  • Boygenius – "Not Strong Enough"
  • Foo Fighters – "Rescued"

Best Rock Album

Final voting on the winners will take place between December 14 and January 4. The 2024 GRAMMYs award ceremony will take place on February 4 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA. The ceremony will air live on the CBS Television Network and will stream on Paramount+.
