In a nostalgic nod to the roots of experimental metal, Candiria enthusiasts have reason to rejoice as the band announces the forthcoming vinyl release of their seminal album, The Process of Self-Development.
The album was originally released in 1999 and has since become a cult classic, known for its innovative blend of metal, jazz, and electronic music. Now it is set to make a triumphant debut in the analog realm, allowing fans to experience its sonic intricacies in a new-old light.
Rising Pulse Records – the record label owned by Candiria guitarist John LaMacchia – will be issuing this pressing on deluxe colored 2xLP vinyl. 500 copies in total are being produced, with 250 on cloudy green vinyl and 250 on black and neon purple smoke, and the record has been remastered for vinyl.
LaMacchia said about the release: “This was a major undertaking and took the better part of a year to complete. I am very happy to finally get this out into the world.”
While the announcement may not be making waves in mainstream headlines, it undoubtedly strikes a chord with those who appreciate the depth and complexity that The Process of Self-Development offered. As the vinyl revival continues to gain momentum, this reissue aligns with the growing trend of revisiting classics on the format that refuses to be forgotten.
