Did you hear that Slash's solo band is going on tour with Aerosmith? Oh, it's happening and the two forces of rock got together to make the announcement at the Whiskey A Go Go yesterday, leading to one of the most awkward renditions of "Welcome To The Jungle" I've ever seen.
Slash, who considers Aerosmith one of his all time favorite bands, got up on stage to jam with Aerosmith on their classic “Mama Kin” and that led to guitarist Joe Perry playing the first few bars of "Welcome To The Jungle", with the rest of the band. I barely know the opening lyrics to the tune, but whatever Steven Tyler was singing were NOT the lyrics:
Ultimately, I'm sure it was in good fun and nobody was offended. After all, this is NOT the worst rendition of the song I've ever heard. Bollocks you say? Well then take a gander at Axl Rose's awful attempt to perform the song not too long ago.
