Release Festival, one of Greece's largest summer music events will be featuring Megadeth, Judas Priest, Bruce Dickinson, and Behemoth this year.
It has been eight years since Megadeth has been to Athens and will be presenting a show on Jun 14th with their greatest anthems! Alongside them, the bards of progressive power metal, Blind Guardian, and the explosive trio of Grand Magus.
Judas Priest was a popular favorite at Release Athens in 2022 and are returning on July 21st for a landmark night for all Greek metalheads alongside Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. With them, one of the most essential bands of the scene, the German Accept and the newcomers from Athens, Saturday Night Satan.
Behemoth, after nearly a decade are finally making a return and to the major stages of Release Athens on July 28th. The pioneers of extreme metal in Poland and Testament, the leading figures of thrash metal in the USA, will be joined by the Dutch Pestilence, one of the top acts of progressive death metal, in a unique night for every heavy metal fan.

On June 2016, Release Athens opened its doors for the first time at Plateia Nerou (Water Plaza), a beautiful, open space by the sea, just a few minutes from the city center.
