QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Cancels European Festival Dates, JOSH HOMME To Undergo Emergency Surgery

We wish Homme all the best.

Queens Of The Stone Age 2023

Queens Of The Stone Age has cancelled all their July European festival appearances for frontman Josh Homme to undergo emergency surgery. The cancellations start with the Jardin Sonore Festival that kicks off tomorrow, July 10, and end with the Athens Rocks festival on July 27.

No word on if this also includes Queens Of The Stone Age's upcoming show in the Paris catacombs, as it's not clear if that already happened or was slated to happen and is now in peril due to the surgery. Regardless, we wish Homme all the best at this time with whatever he's dealing with. The following dates are affected:

7/10 Festival Jardin Sonore Vitrolles, FR
7/13 Pohoda Festival Trencin, SK
7/16 Zitadelle Spandau Berlin, DE
7/17 Colours of Ostrava Ostrava, CZ
7/18 METAstadt Vienna, AT
7/20 Electric Castle Festival Cluj, RO
7/23 SRC Salata Zagreb, HR
7/24 SRC Salata Zagreb, HR
7/27 Athens Rocks Athens, GR

"QOTSA regret to announce that Josh Homme must return to the United States immediately for emergency surgery," wrote the band. "Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue."

They continued: "Ticket holders for festivals, please visit the specific festival website for updated information. Ticket holders for headline shows will be contacted directly from the point of purchase with further information."
