The Halo Effect is now streaming the new single "March Of The Unheard" from their upcoming album of the same name. The single comes alongside a music video directed by Theo Gabay and Morgan Jensen, featuring the Gothenburg Marching band Göta Lejon. If you're looking for a stadium-sized earworm with loads of huge harmonies, you're in the right place. If not, get the hell out of here. You're gonna hate this.
"This song is based around the melody theme for the intro on all our ninety-six shows," said The Halo Effect guitarist Niclas Engelin of the single. "I just got the idea of starting the whole album with this theme and building a full song around it. Mikael took the whole song to another level with his lyrics, which enlighten the need for our society to hear the voices of the unheard – the powerless."
He continues: "We are all suckers for melancholic melodies in an up tempo beat, and add some harmonies to that, and we get a beautiful Halo song. Working with the mighty Gothenburg Marching band 'Göta Lejon' just blew our minds both in the studio and live… damn they are powerfull!!"
The Halo Effect will release their new record March Of The Unheard on January 10. Pre-orders are available here.
