ROY MAYORGA Reflects On Failed Project With AMEN & AMEBIX Members

He's hoping some songs might surface.

Failed Band

In the wake of Amen vocalist Casey Chaos' death, drummer Roy Mayorga (Ministry, Stone Sour, False Fed, ex-Amebix, etc.) is reflecting on a band that never quite was.

In a post on Instagram, Mayorga reveals that he had a short-lived project with Chaos and Stig Miller of Amebix and False Fed fame. Mayorga notes that project had 18 songs recorded, though only a few ever received vocals. Who knows what the project could've sounded like, but hey – Mayorga is holding out hope that the finished songs might see the light of day eventually.

"'The band that could've been'" wrote Mayorga. "In 2019 I was the last piece of the puzzle for a very short-lived project with Casey Chaos and band mate [Stig Miller] There are 18 songs recorded but as I learn now, only a couple of songs have vocals. Which means the rest will never ever be finished, which is really unfortunate.

"If you could imagine the sound of AMEN, AMEBIX and NAUSEA all rolled into one. Hopefully some of those songs will see the light of day."
