The Hell is the funniest metal band in England right now (world rights to funniest band currently claimed by Steel Panther).
Last week, these guys wrote a hilarious takedown of metalcore which a bunch of butthurt internet metal nerds took very seriously.
Because of the resulting backlash, The Hell decided that it was time to call it a day and announced they would be breaking up:
Then, they quickly announced a reunion:
GUESS WHO'S BACK? CAN'T WAIT TO START PLAYING SHOWS AGAIN. WE'RE BACK TO RECLAIM OUR CROWN.
THE HELL
It seemed like soembody jumped the gun, because they immediately retracted it:
WAIT SORRY THAT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE ON SOCIAL NETWORKS YET, IGNORE THE BIT WHERE WE'RE BACK BECAUSE WE NEED TO SAVE THAT FOR WHEN WE ANNOUNCE SOMETHING SO WE'RE SPLIT UP AGAIN NOW. R.I.P. IT'S BEEN REAL.
They finally had it all figured out an hour or so later, and finally, officially, announced their reunion:
Welcome back guys, it hadn't been the same without you.
In a world where everybody takes themselves too seriously, it's great to see a band that "get it" and are actively mocking the scene of which they are a part of.
