Nevermind, There Won't Be A New LAMB OF GOD Album In Early 2015

Oops… kinda.

Oops... kinda.

Last week we, along with pretty much the rest of the Internet, got pretty jazzed about a new Lamb of God record sometime early 2015!  At least that's what we thought according to frontman Randall Blythe in an interview with Hatebreed's Jamey Jasta.

“I have been writing my book for a while but the majority of my book has been written since January. It will be released early part of next year along with the new Lamb of God record…I started writing lyrics for the next record in prison.”

Now Blythe is clarifying what he said in the interview via his Instagram account.

"…not much about lamb of god, despite what all the metal blogs are blaring 'RANDY SAYS NEW LAMB OF GOD ALBUM EARLY 2015!!!!'- take that with a grain if salt, ok, because they also ignore the fact that during the interview I also say 'The new album isn't written yet' – It will come out when it comes out, after it's done & we are happy with it. When that will be, we shall see- we kinda gotta write the thing first, ya know? I don't have a crystal ball, & I got no other answers than it will come out when it's done."

Alright, yeah, he definitely did say the part about the record not being written, but it did also sound like it could all happen for a spring 2015 release. I know there's got to be a lot of wheels in motion for a new record from the band to happen, but to our collective credit it did certainly sound like that was the case!

Oh well, we've waited two years between albums already. What's another year? I'm sure the time off did the band some good and I really, really would love to hear Blythe's lyrics that he wrote in jail. Talk about pissed right the hell off!
