In 2011, Textures released arguably their best album, Dualism, which also showcased their new singer Daniel de Jongh and new keyboardist Uri Dijk. Four years later, and with new guitarist Joe Tal on board replacing founding guitarist Jochem Jacobs, the group has taken to Facebook to announce they'll be recording and releasing a new record!
"Happy New Year everyone! After a year of ultimate highs, including our 'Polars' 10th Anniversary Tour through Europe, 2015 will be a year of new insights. This will be the year in which we will record and release our 5th record and it will be one to look forward to!! See you soon!!! Have a great year everyone!"
It'll be interesting to see not only how Tal plays into the mix of the new material, but also where their heads are collectively at four years down the line. Fans of the group, myself included, should be used to this kind of waiting between records- Silhouettes in 2008 sat in our ears for a full three years before Dualism, so here we go again! Bring it!
