Now that the cat is out of the bag that Chris Adler is drumming on the new Megadeth album and that Kiko Loureiro of Angra is their new guitarist, Mustaine can get back to the task at hand… which is finishing the new Megadeth album.
In a series of tweets last night, Mustaine revealed that the group has finished writing the new album and have 15 songs they will record:
I'm stoked so many people have reacted so positively about Kiko and Chris playing on this next record! Falling Upward again!

15 songs finished being written. Just waiting for Jr. to arrive. He is gonna freak over Chris and Kiko. #Megadeth15

I have to say, while a few months ago I really wouldn't care about the new Megadeth album based on how underwhelming Super Collider was, but the addition of Adler changes the game for me. Of course, just because 15 songs are written, it doesn't mean all of them will make the cut. Look for some of the tracks to be saved as bonus tracks for various packages.
In related news, I stumbled upon a conversation between Mustaine and David Draiman, who have no problem using a public forum for a private conversation.
