We can all agree cancer fucking sucks, especially when it affects one of our own.
Former Nevermore and current Ghost Ship Octavius and Ashes of Ares drummer Van Williams’ wife Dore Williams was recently diagnosed with Stage III ovarian cancer. Due to the fact that Dore is losing her job, because she is out of sick days to take, she is about to lose her insurance and cancer treatment bills certainly add up.
Her brother set up a GoFundMe page to help alleviate some of the costs writing:
My sister Dorraine Williams, known to her friends as Dore, was diagnosed on April 16 with stage III Ovarian Cancer. Dore is still undergoing tests to confirm where else the cancer has spread however she is having surgery on Thursday April 23rd. Quickly after her surgery, she will begin an aggressive chemotherapy plan that will continue for as long as necessary.
