Happy Cartoonist Day! Draw yourselves slaying something to celebrate! On to business. This edition includes indie/stoner darlings, lots of Satan, a terrible reference to an old TV show and more! To the metals…
Coliseum – Anxiety's Kiss
Genre: Hardcore/Stoner
Origin: Louisville, Kentucky
Label:Â Deathwish
Buy now on Amazon.com
Always difficult to pin down Coliseum have returned with yet another collection of groovy, fuzzy tracks that walk the line between stoner gems and indie crossover awesomeness. I'm digging the addition of some 80's New Wave essence to the band's already interesting sound.

Kamelot – Haven
Genre: Progressive power metal
Origin: Tampa, Florida
Label:Â Napalm
Buy now on Amazon.com
One of America's longest running, and strongest, power metal collective is getting people pumped for epic battles once again. They've got some great guest with them on this record too. Charlotte Wessels of Delain and Alissa White-Gluz Arch Enemy/ex-The Agonist both make vocal appearances, and Troy Donockley of Nightwish's famed Uileann pipes section even makes an appearance.

Korpiklaani – Noita
Genre: Folk metal
Origin: Lahti, Finland
Label:Â Nuclear Blast
Buy now on Amazon.com
Korpiklaani are still very much being Korpiklaani. Folky metal with accordion, violin, and hurdy gurdy galore! Not huge step in artistic growth from their last record, but folk music doesn't really need to progress much. All that matters is that the spirit of generations past is present, and this band is entrenched in classic folk.

Meek is Murder – Onward / Into the Sun
Genre: Hardcore
Origin: Brooklyn, New York
Label:Â Rising Pulse
Buy now on Bandcamp.com
Meek is Murder has a new EP out that has been coupled with an older one and both of them will kick your ass. Chaotic, solid, noisy, and pretty great. (Note: Frank doesn't weigh in on what I talk about on here, so this was included under my own choosing. Just for full discretion or whatever)

Satan's Wrath – Die Evil
Genre: Black metal
Origin: Greece
Label:Â Metal Blade
Buy now on Amazon.com
In the mood for some lo-fi (by design, I'm presuming) black metal? Then get up on this. Thrashy throughout, proggy at times, and a little bluesy if you peel back some of the guitar noodling. These guys also appear to be a little fascinated with Satan and the number six.

Sigh – Graveward
Genre: Avant-garde black metal
Origin: Tokyo, Japan
Label:Â Candlelight
Buy now on Amazon.com
Let's get weird. Sigh have returned with some avant blackened madness. Lots of guests too. Friends in tow range from members of DragonForce and Trivium to Rotting Christ and Shining. So really, it's all the usual unusual-ness. I'll have a full review on here at some point.

Six Feet Under – Crypt of the Devil
Genre: Death/Groove metal
Origin: Tampa, Floria
Label:Â Metal Blade
Buy now on Amazon.com
In an amazing turn of events, ten years after the show concluded Six Feet Under has returned following the Fisher family on their path through the afterlife. I'm a bit surprised that they chose to release the season in audio form but…Hold on. I'm being told this has nothing to do with the acclaimed HBO television program. It is instead another batch of grimy death metal tracks from Chris Barnes and friends.
