What has this world come to when renowned alcohol consumer Vinnie Paul, formerly of Pantera and currently of HELLYEAH, cannot enter a bar to get a shot of black tooth like the rest of us?
This outrageous form of discrimination happened at the Christchurch, New Zealand bar, The Rockpool, where the bouncer allegedly asked Paul to remove his bandana and refused to comply, thus not being allowed entry into the bar. I thought this was America! Oh wait, this was in New Zealand.
Come to think of it, I don't recall seeing Vinnie Paul without a cowboy hat or a bandana for over 20 years.  The only one I could find was from Pantera's glam days. Is Paul insecure about a bald spot? While Rockpool owner Peter Whittaker has not commented on not allowing metal friggen royalty in his bar, he did comment on not allowing another person with visible neck tattoos in the bar saying:
"Not everyone is automatically excluded, but we don't want that profile of person there," he said.
The last time a musician was denied entry into a bar for something like this, a boycott was called for. SO IF YOU'RE READING THIS IN CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND, DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR, THEY ARE DISRESPECTFUL AND DON'T DESERVE YOUR MONEY!
