Goatlord was a Las Vegas extreme metal act formed in 1985 and disbanded in 1997. Guitarist Joe Frankulin even tried to reform the band last year but failed. But this is all trivial compared to the horrifying acts Frankulin committed last week. (Note: based on photos on their website, it seems like the guitarist in question is the dude in the middle in the above photo, but that is not confirmed).
According to a report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Frankulin fatally shot his neighbor, 39-year-old Jennifer Donoso and then proceeded to kidnap her 8-year-old son, Lex, who he eventually killed in his own home before taking his own life. Reports from neighbors say they knew something was up in recent weeks when Frankulin began selling off all of his possessions and barricading his house. He would constantly get checked on by police who would blow an airhorn to get him out of the house to make sure he was alive.
Lambgoat posted these two photos of the victims of this heinous crime:

While Goatlord was pretty under the radar, according to their Wiki, there was a time when they hired Napalm Death member Mitch Harris as their new vocalist for a short while. Harris allegedly recorded tracks for their 1991 album Reflections of the Solstice but the tracks were overwritten by their returning vocalists when he went into the studio. Their only official website is a now-defunct MySpace page.
