About a week ago, I was driving home from work and Emmure came on SiriusXM Radio. I started wondering what the hell was going on with Emmure, since we haven't posted about them in a while. They dropped a record in 2014, so it wasn't time for a new record or anything, but you'd figure they'd make it into the news somehow.
Today, Emmure is back in the headlines and I realized why I hadn't heard anything! EVERYONE QUIT.
Founding bassist Mark Davis told Lambgoat the following:
"As some of you may or may not have heard, Jesse, Mikael, Adam, and myself are no longer in Emmure. We have decided collectively to pursue other endeavors. We would like to thank the Emmure fans for all the support and love over the years, and to everyone who has help the band on its way, you are all greatly appreciated. Be on the lookout for a new project from the four of us in 2016."
What a professional way to cut ties. You know there is obviously more to this story, but the band is choosing to take the high road. Update: The former Emmure members have offered a new interview further explaining their decision and announcing they're forming a new band and will eventually find a new vocalist. All the details here.
So now Emmure is just Frankie Palmeri. He hasn't said anything, but he did tweet this rather short message.

I assume that's aimed at his former band… so will he get a new band and continue on? Will Palmeri go off and do something else? I guess we'll find out. We'll keep you posted.
