After a fairly lengthy hiatus, Rammstein announced in late 2015 that it had been hunkering down to knock out some new material! New material means new tours, or at least an escape from the studio in some capacity.
While we wouldn't even call this one an "escape from the studio" so much as it is a "snack run," Rammstein will be playing its only U.S. show at The Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL, better known as the Chicago Open Air Festival. The festival will take place between July 15 and 17, with a full lineup announcement coming on February 16.
This is incredibly exciting news because Rammstein playing outdoors means that Rammstein can go really crazy with the pyrotechnics. We don't know what Rammstein is playing yet…the full lineup will be revealed Tuesday, February 16 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time. We'd imagine tickets will go quick. A limited quantity of early bird discounted three-day weekend general admission tickets are now available for $199.50 (Field) and $109.50 (Bowl). Once those are sold out, general admission three-day weekend tickets will be $219.50 (Field) and $119.50 (Bowl) while supplies last, with prices increasing as allotments sell out.
VIP three-day weekend tickets are available starting at $399.50. A limited number of three-day weekend Zippo VIP Ticket two-packs are also available for $860.00. This package includes two VIP tickets plus two commemorative Zippo lighters.
All VIP tickets include: VIP entrance lanes into the event, access to a VIP lounge area featuring dedicated food and beverage offerings (for additional purchase), field and stadium level viewing areas of the main stage, dedicated restroom facilities, and a commemorative Chicago Open Air VIP-only laminate.
Single-day general admission bowl tickets go on sale Tuesday, February 16 at 5:00 p.m. CT and prices start at $49.50 (plus fees).
Ticket prices will increase in the coming weeks, so fans are encouraged to buy early and save.
