NIGHTKIN (RED CHORD, ex-BLACK DAHLIA) Gets Ominous And Foreboding On A New Song

Nightkin: the next big name in melodic black metal.

Nightkin: the next big name in melodic black metal.

Nightkin, the band featuring guitarist Mike “Gunface” McKenzie of The Red Chord on vocals and ex-The Black Dahlia Murder members drummer-turned-vocalist Zach Gibson and bassist-turned-guitarist David Lock, is posed to drop one hell of a record this year. We were actually just talking about how stupid good this band is a last week when we posted "Fear of the Light," the first single from Oath of Elucidation, and guess what? Our feelings haven't changed one bit.

The band's new song "My Work Is Not Yet Done" is so fucking heavy in every single aspect that I don't even know where to begin. Do we talk about the guttural, otherworldly vocals? The black-metal-meets-melo-death riffs? The awesome/spot-on drum sound? I mean… come on.

We can't wait to hear the full-length. Pre-order it here.
