Yesterday we posted about System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian posting a picture of drummer John Dolmayan behind the kit on his Instagram. The picture was captioned with "1..2..3..4.. #systemofadown #letdothis," and naturally we freaked out a bit. Some fans pointed out that while Dolmayan's drums weren't mic'ed up, it looked like there were a lot of skins behind him, possibly due to his trying to find the right tone for the new songs. That's 100% conjecture, but these are exciting times! Could this mean the band is finally working on its long-time-coming new material?
Now John Dolmayan is in on the fun, posting a picture of Odadjian and guitarist Daron Malakian in what appears to be the same room. So something is absolutely, most certainly going on here!
