Sumac's brand new album What One Becomes is hands down one of the heaviest, best written metal albums of 2016. Sumac marries body-destroying heaviness with improvisational ambiance throughout the entirety of record, and the end result is just incredible. The nature of the album makes it all that much more interesting that the band will be releasing a remix EP!
The EP is called Before You I Appear and it'll be vinyl-only. You can check out Bleed Turquoise's remix of "Clutch Of Oblivion," which is a far cry from the original. I think that's what's going to set Before You I Appear apart from other remix efforts – What One Becomes is too big and complicated to be made into straight up remixes. So artists like Endon and Kevin Drumm are going to have to get exceptionally clever with these!
