Kittie drummer Mercedes Lander, alongside Bassist Kira Longeuay and guitarist Shane Jeffers, have kicked up a new doom trio called The White Swan. The band reminds me a lot of Windhand, and has some solid riff chunkiness a la Monolord. Lander's distant vocals fit right in with the music, and I'm actually pretty interested to hear what the group has in store for the future.
