These Digital Drum Stick Sensors Let You Drum Anywhere Without A Kit

Now you can annoy everyone everywhere forever!

Now you can annoy everyone everywhere forever!

Whether you drum professionally, just for the hell of it, or you're an air drummer that wants to make things a little more realistic, Freedrum is a project that you'll probably want to be backing. Freedrum is a set of sensors that you attach to your shoes and a pair of drum sticks, and you'll be drumming away without the use of an actual drum kit before you know it.

The below video does a pretty good job showing you exactly how the sensors work, but in a nutshell they don't need to much explanation. You strap them on and drum your brains out until you don't feel like it anymore. The sensors work with apps like DM1 by Fingerlab, MoDrum and Vatanator Drum Machine, as well as Mac and Windows 10!

The project is currently about $1,000 short of its $150,000 goal, but it's got 21 days left too… so hey, go make that happen.
