I am so over 3D movies! It's absurd. After Avatar blew my mind with the type of visual effects 3D is capable of, every 3D movie thereafter has been a bullshit upconverter piece of drek. It's going to be at least another 6 months until we get true native 3D movies and by then I don't know how much more I can handle of it.
But, here is a 3D project that I think is pretty sweet. UK's Metal Hammer magazine is releasing a really sweet 3D cover for their next issue with Iron Maiden art on it. They have a sweet animated gif visualizing what it will look like and this is certainly enticing enough to purchase the issue:
