When Austin Carlile announced his shocking departure from Of Mice & Men, we assumed it was because he was dealing with Marafan syndrome, a genetic disorder affecting the body’s connective tissue, causing Carlile to be susceptible to sickness at any point. Carlile said that he "would never get better." Carlile has been in and out of hospitals for years, and most recently suffered from what he described as a "gnarly spider bite."
Carlile explained that he would be leaving Of Mice & Men, which would then remain a four-piece and living in Costa Rica, healing and creating new music. But it now looks like there is more to the story.
Rock Feed has been following the story and notes that after quitting the band, Carlile unfollowed guitarist/new vocalist Aaron Pauley, and last night posted a series of tweets which one could assume were about Paulie:

Rock Feed notes that Carlile did wish drummer Valentino Arteaga a happy birthday on Instagram, so Carlile's problem is with the other members in the band.
On the band's most recent release, Cold World, Aaron Pauley's vocals were featured more than on any previous album. In a new Instagram posts, when asked by fans why he left, Carlile made his position clear:
“I will no longer be writing with them, one of the reasons I left. They weren’t going to let me write what I wanted on the next record. That’s not gonna happen. I will write what I want despite what that means giving up.” Carlile told the fan. The speculation is that Carlile, who became a born-again Christian last year, wanted to include more of his faith in his lyrics and the band wasn't into it.
It'll be interesting to see if the band chooses to respond to these allegations.
