Recently on Radio 2, Napalm Death frontman Barney Greenway showed ex-Labour Party leader Ed Miliband how to growl like he does. The story appeared across a pretty wide array of media outlets, and that resulted in a bit of a spike in Napalm Death's popularity on streaming services.
One Twitter user said the band's streaming rose by a staggering 228%, and according to Metro, Spotify confirmed that number by comparing streams from Wednesday, June 21, with Wednesday, June 14.

See? All you need to do is get all "buddy buddy" with someone unlikely on the radio for a little bit, and BAM! Instant popularity. Though given's Greenway's very clear political stances, I feel like this probably went a touch deeper than that.
