Crafteon are about to self-release their debut album, Cosmic Reawakening, and it's one that should definitely be on your radar if you're a fan of black metal or legendary horror author, H.P. Lovecraft. From the moment you hit play on the album, you're immediately transported into a melodic and mystical world that Crafteon builds on across all 8 tracks, and leaves you wanting more.
One thing I love about Crafteon is that their appreciation for H.P. Lovecraft comes from a very sincere place. As vocalist and guitarist, Lord Mordiggian, is a literature teacher who wanted to create an entire album inspired by his favorite author.
I'm stoked to bring you the exclusive premiere of "Dagon" just one of many great tracks you'll find on Cosmic Reawakening, which you can pre-order right over here, before its street date on August 25th!
The track "Dagon" from upcoming album Cosmic Reawakening is based on Lovecraft's tale of the same name, in which a deranged veteran submarine crewman is driven to a morphine overdose, throwing himself from his apartment window when he cannot obliterate from his memory a horrifying encounter with an ancient, cyclopean creature. This track reflects the human incapacity for surviving the black gnosis–the maddening knowledge of that which should not be known.
