On July 14 of this year, Adrenaline Mob's van was struck on the side of a highway in Florida. The incident ultimately took the life of bassist David "David Z." Zablidowski, injured others, and has left band tour manager Janet "Jane Train" Rains with severe burns all over her body.
Now according to Times Leader, attorneys Ed Ciarimboli and Greg Fellerman have given an updated on Rains. The attorneys represent Rains, as well as Adrenaline Mob crew member Rob Dressler.
"Janet is still in a burn unit in Gainesville, Fla. She has catastrophic injuries," Ciarimboli said. “She’s had a number of surgeries. We do anticipate that she will be in the burn unit for a considerable amount of time into the future … Rob Dressler, who was the sound man for the band, continues to recover from his injuries as well. He’s home now, but he’s continuing to recover from the devastating, devastating injuries he has as well."
Before we continue on with this story, we'd like to point out that there has been a GoFundMe launched (and reposted by Century Media, so it's legit) to help with Rains' medical bills.
The attorneys are currently considering legal action against Twiss Transportation, whose driver caused the accident. The article also states that the team of lawyers are currently awaiting the results of a toxicology report of the driver.
Fellerman added that a team of lawyers is "ready to go" against the trucking company, saying "We’re going to take these guys to task. When we get into the courtroom, these guys are going to be held accountable from the civil side 100 percent."
Obviously we wish Rains and Dressler all the best at this time, and Zablidowski's family peace as the potential litigation builds.
