Alcest will release their long-awaited new record Les Chants De L'Aurore on June 21, and you can check out the shoegazey new single "Flamme Jumelle" right now. The music video for "Flamme Jumelle" was created by Kendy Ty, while the music is perfect for the slowly-warming weather. Or at least that's the vibe you get until you dig into the lyrics.
"Despite its more accessible vibe, this song is actually the most personal song of the album for me," said Alcest's Neige. "'Flamme Jumelle', which means 'Twin Flame', is about the idea of loss in general and the difficulty of coping with the absence of someone you deeply loved.
"It could be a family member, a friend, or a partner. On a more spiritual level, the title refers to the possibility that certain souls are connected in this life and beyond, and that separation is temporary and just a mortal concept."
Pre-orders for Les Chants De l'Aurore are available here. In the meantime, check out Alcest's tour dates in support of Les Chants de l'Aurore below and get your tickets here.
