Richmond, Virginia's Enforced has unleashed the visualizer video for their song "Casket". The track was previously in 2022, as part of the long-running flexi disc series featured in issues of Decibel magazine, and has now been released digitally.
"Casket" delivers a relentless onslaught of heaviness, with Enforced showcasing their mastery of aggressive riffs, thunderous drumming, and guttural vocals. The song's lyrics paint a bleak and harrowing picture on the effects of addiction, perfectly complementing the band's punishing musical assault.
Frontman Knox Colby said about the song: "Cask – holds alcohol. Casket – holds bodies (I don't know the etymology, but the synchronicity was there). Death by alcohol abuse seems obvious, on a strictly etymological level. It reflects the stupidity at the point when a person can't understand right from wrong or real from fake. You're dead in that moment."
In case you are unfamiliar, Enforced blends old-school metal sensibilities with a modern edge, weaving together elements of thrash, death, and hardcore, creating a sound that is both familiar and impactful. Check out our review of their latest LP War Remains here.
