Have you ever watched Ridley Scott's 2000 masterpiece Gladiator and thought "this probably could've been more metal"? Well clearly so did Evile guitarist Ol Drake, and he's here to make it so! Watch as the man himself tackles the entire 10-ish of "The Battle" and makes it into an epic metal track worthy of any conflict. Just try not to spear someone while listening.
"In the little spare time I have I've really taken to doing metal covers of things which aren't metal. I started covering a section of 'The Battle' music from Gladiator, and it sounded good but was too out of context," wrote Ol Drake of the cover. "I kept having to add sections for it to make sense so one day I just said f**k it and did the whole 10 minutes. I hope Zimmer will enjoy it!"
