The use of deepfake technology can be incredibly dangerous… or it can be fucking hilarious, thanks to Limp Bizkit.
The band is now streaming their new music video for "Out Of Style" which deepfakes world leaders Joe Biden, Vladimir Putin, Volodymyr Zelensky, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong-un onto the band's faces for a politically-charged good time in the world of nü-metal. Nuclear Power Trio has not yet commented on the situation.
The "Out Of Style" video was directed by Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst and Marc Klasfeld. Maybe this isn't exactly the best time for a "world leader fun times" music video given the horrors happening in Ukraine, but it's also Limp Bizkit – sensitivity has never really been their thing. The video also heralds the release of Limp Bizkit's latest record Still Sucks on CD for the first time featuring an unreleased bonus track. Get it here.
As for the future of Limp Bizkit outside the video, Borland said in a 2022 interview with PRS that he hoped the band would commence work on new material after wrapping up their tour schedule this past May. "Now that Still Sucks has kind of cleared our pipes, I feel that the camaraderie and creativity within the group is at an all-time high," said Borland. "I wouldn't be surprised if a new album is in the works shortly after our 2022 touring concludes. Anything is possible."
Limp Bizkit is currently slated for the first Bamboozle festival in 11 years, as well as being one of the headliners for Inkcarceration 2023. In the meantime, European fans can catch Limp Bizkit at one of the below dates.
