Machine Head got loose when they came to Brooklyn for recent set at Saint Vitus, bringing Brooklyn native and Life of Agony guitarist Joey Z. on stage for a jam on the Life Of Agony classic "This Time." A very jubilant Robb Flynn told the crowd upon announcing Joey Z. that, "I gave this motherfucker a Machine Head demo backstage at the Whiskey in L.A.," confirming just how long the pair have been tight.
"We said, 'We were coming to Brooklyn—we gotta play some Life of Agony, right?" Flynn said, pumping the lucky crowd up even further. You can check out a very solid fan-shot video just above.
Machine Head's most recent LP, Of Kingdom and Crown, is a concept album—a first for the band—that was released in August of 2022. Life of Agony released The Sound of Scars, the band's second concept album and sequel to River Runs Red, in 2019.
Life Of Agony will hit the road with Sick Of It All this March for a North American tour. The tour will showcase Life Of Agony playing River Runs Red in full on the trek in celebration of its 30th birthday, while Sick Of It All will simply be tearing it up with a bunch of classics.
