UK nü-gaze band Split Chain is here to get you into the Halloween spirit with their cover of Type O Negative's 2003 hit "I Don't Wanna Be Me". On the cover being a pretty notable diversion from their usual sound, Split Chain simply offered: "It's a different vibe, more punk-y and fast, but we feel it encapsulates our fun side."
Split Chain's version of "I Don't Wanna Be Me" is pretty cool in that it stays largely true to the original, but it's also not trying to be Type O Negative – dudes have their own sound and they're just integrating it into the cover. That, and doing a Peter Steele voice generally doesn't go well for most people.
