Hey look, Fantômas came back for a minute! Fantômas reunited on stage during Mr. Bungle's May 24 show at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA to play the classic Fantômas cover of Henri Mancini's "Experiment In Terror" from their 2001 album The Director's Cut.
The Fantômas reunion was also a pretty easy one considering three-fourths of the band – Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn, and Dave Lombardo – is already in Mr. Bungle. So all it took was Melvins guitarist Buzz Osbourne to get on stage, and presto! Reunion. Fantômas put out a string of albums between 1999 and 2005, and most recently reunited to open for Tool in 2017.
As for Mr. Bungle, they've been making headlines lately after reuniting with drummer Hans Wagner on stage and playing "My Ass Is On Fire" for the first time in 23 years.
