Gojira played their first show with Korn and Spiritbox on September 12 at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, FL where they busted out "The Axe" for the first time since 2017. They also preceded "Silvera" with a snippet of their Olympic song "Mea culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)" because obviously that's gonna be one of their career-long calling cards.
The full show ran as follows:
- "L'enfant sauvage"
- "Toxic Garbage Island"
- "Backbone"
- "Stranded"
- "The Cell"
- "The Axe" (First time played since 2017)
- "Flying Whales"
- "Grind"
- "Another World"
- "Silvera" (Preceded by a snippet of "Mea culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)")
- "Amazonia"
As far as new Gojira goes, they're working on it! According to Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier in an interview with Chuck Armstrong of Loudwire Nights,
"I wish I could… It's not a secret, but I've gotta say we're in the middle of it, and until it's completed, it's hard to tell people what it's gonna be," said Duplantier. "And also, I don't want to. I want people to be surprised. But we're working. We're trying to deliver something that is meaningful and impactful. We're very ambitious in terms of writing songs and the quality of it. And we wanna take a clear step forward and upward with this album. So we're putting all our love and energy on it."
