God Forbid hit the stage at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival this September for their first show in nine years, and you can check out their performance of "Chains Of Humanity" above. The video was produced and edited by Hector Gallardo for Subharmonic City, and is overall a killer snapshot of band that has returned in a glorious fashion.
God Forbid currently has the following two reunion shows lived up for January:
1/6 – Starland Ballroom – Sayreville, NJ (w/ Bleeding Through, Living Wreckage, Nora & Shai Hulud)
1/7 – Worcester Palladium – Worcester, MA (w/ Bleeding Through, Living Wreckage & Dead Reflections)
As for the festival, God Forbid guitarist Doc Coyle said in a recent interview it was a great experience but for fans to not expect a lot more shows in the future.
"[Playing Blue Ridge] was a stressful situation because it was a festival kind of in the middle of nowhere, and the logistical parts of that was a lot to deal with. But we figured it out. We had a lot of things go wrong, but everything ended up working out pretty well. I thought the show was great; it was a lot of fun.
"And now we have some new opportunities coming up for next year. We're not gonna do a ton of stuff. Some of the guys have got kids and jobs and stuff, so I don't think there's an opportunity for the band to be a full-time thing or [to do] a full tour. It'd be hard to imagine how that would work, logistically."
