Murderdolls were a band between 2002 and 2004, and then again between 2010 and 2011. The band has two albums to its name currently – Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls in 2012 and Women And Children Last in 2010. Besides live lineups, the band has always been a collaboration between Wednesday 13 frontman Joseph "Wednesday 13" Poole and multi-instrumentalist Joey Jordison (Vimic, Sinsaenum, ex-Slipknot). Plus Wednesday 13 guitarist Roman Surman, if we're looking at Woman And Children Last.
In an interview with Talk Toomey, Jordison says he's been talking to Poole lately and "never say never" to a reunion. He also adds that Murderdolls have had new material in the works over an unspecified amount of time.
"It's cool that I've been talking to Wednesday recently, but I can't disclose anything [about a possible reunion]. Never say never, man – I mean, that's life.
"It's kind of funny, 'cause we have a bunch of songs that have been written and a bunch that are ready to go.
"Timing is everything, man – not necessarily anything about, 'Oh, we need to do this to impress people,' or, 'We need to put out this record or do something like that.' Timing in life is everything, so we'll see. Only time will tell."
The timetable certainly adds up, right? Murderdolls fans waited eight years between albums the first time around, and if they get back together and do another new album, they'll be right around that time between albums again.
