It has finally happened! The world has new music from Gojira to thrash to. And the Frenchmen enlisted some friends for their return, namely Devin Townsend and Meshuggah guitarist and all around beast Fredrik Thordendal. I'm not going sit here and talk about how great the track is, because you already know it will be great. "Of Blood and Salt" is six minutes and twenty six seconds of pure unfiltered heavy fucking metal. Devin starts the track and Fredrik, I assume provides the solo. Pretty ridiculous right? I have to assume that Devin Townsend made this all happen, since on his record, Deconstruction, Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier & Fredrick Thordendal both make appearances (on separate tracks). Maybe while Joe and Devy were collabing, Joe invited the two metal gods to appear on his album. This is pure speculation.
The track is supposed to be on the band's long awaited Sea Shepherd EP, which will hopefully see the light of day soon.
