SIKTH Will Be Getting Back Together Sometime For New Album

I love when defunct bands stir up the pot and talk about possible reunions. I love it even more when they confirm that there will be an eventual reunion, and album, but just never say when. It keeps me wondering.

SikTh, who helped pioneer the djent sound, have announced they will eventually be getting back together to create a new album. Shortly after the creation of their Facebook page, the band started to post teasers about the eventual reunion, saying:

More Merch has been ordered guys.. hoodies and girls skinny tee's. we will then look at getting some of the other designs up. btw, Calls for a reunion are amazing.. thanks… OF COURSE we want to… we've never said other wise. It will happen when the times right. There WILL be another SikTh record… and it will be our best… thats a PROMISE. It took us the best part of 2 years to complete the writing of DOADD so I guess you'll have to be patient. Besides, theres a bucket load of riffs that we wrote for album three still sat there – so we'll have a head start next time ;-)

Djent has never really been my thing, but I can't deny how awesome it would be for SikTh to get back together. When the first status update hit earlier this week, the Internet slightly slowed while everyone soaked in the eventual reunion. I, apparently, wasn't the only one looking for a time-span for the reunion either, as the band posted another sort-of cryptic update that reads:

and to clarify…. when the time is right !
