It's story time with Ozzy.

Today is the big release day, Ozzy Osbourne's new album, Ordinary Man, is finally out. I'm listening to it as I type this and it's a very fun listen. You can click above or stream it below. Ozzy was on his SiriusXM channel, Ozzy's Boneyard, with his producer, Andrew Watt, talking about the album, and if you're a fan of Ozzy, I would suggest setting aside a few minutes and listening to this story Ozzy shared about recording Black Sabbath's legendary album, Vol. 4.

Earlier in the week, Ozzy debuted the second single he recorded with Post Malone, "It's A Raid." The song had clear Motorhead influence, which Watt makes no secret of during this interview. But the subject matter of the song, is a classic Ozzy story all onto itself. I transcribed it below, but the effect is much better when you hear Ozzy tell it.

It was when we were recording Vol. 4, and we rented this house in Bel Air to record this album. And, I had a pile of coke, a pile of pot on this fucking table. I'm sitting there – Beverly Hills, sun's shining, cocaine, booze, pot, the fucking works. I'm thinking 'fuck me, I've made it.'

So I'm sitting down in this house and it's fucking boiling hot, so I go and see these buttons on the wall. I think 'oh, it must be the air conditioning.' I press the fucking button, and in about five minutes, four or five cop cars coming screaming the drive. I'm shouting 'It's a fucking raid.'

So me and this roadie grab the pile of coke, and the pot and we go into the bathroom. I'm going 'I can't fucking throw this away'. [Ozzy simulates snorting huge amounts of cocaine] I'm gakked. I got cocaine coming out me fuckin' ears. I didn't sleep for four days after that.
