Sharon Osbourne commented on the recent allegations against Marilyn Manson, saying she knows nothing about his personal life, as the two have had a "working relationship" for 25 years.
On her daytime talk show, The Talk, Osbourne said (video below) of Manson "I've known Marilyn for 25 years. [I've] worked with him for many, many years, and, obviously, I would not know what goes on in his bedroom; neither do I want to. But as far as people who've been going on all my socials, calling me names and things and putting up pictures of Marilyn and I, you know, there's something called a working relationship, and that's what I've had with Marilyn for many years. I know nothing about his sexual preferences or the way he treats women. I know how he treats an older woman, which is me, and he's always been respectful."
Manson was accused by actress Evan Rachel Wood, and five other women of abuse. Wood officially named Manson as her abuser on February 1st. As Wood made her announcement, she was signal-boosting other women who began speaking of the abuse they alleged Manson caused to them. She also boosted a Twitter thread from this past fall of a former Manson personal assistant backing her claims. Another accuser has since come forward saying Manson pulled a gun on her and accused him of drugging his girlfriend at the time.
Wes Borland, who was in Manson's band in 2008, came forward on a podcast and said everything Wood said about him was true. Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor released a statement, denouncing Manson.
Wood's testimony detailed being mentally and physically tortured by an older man when she was 18-years-old. It was public knowledge that Wood began dating Marilyn Manson in 2006 when she was 18 and he was 36. You can see the details of her accusations here.
