English deathcore band Ingested has split with founding vocalist Jason Evans. Ingested did not elaborate on what caused the split or who they'll carry on with, only noting that Ingested is not over. Evans was one of Ingested's founding members in 2006 and performed on all of the band's eight studio albums and three EPs.

"After many years of collaboration, we want to announce that we have parted ways with Jason Evans. This decision was not made lightly, but we all agree it's the best step for the future of the band and for Jason.

"We are incredibly grateful for the memories shared over the years, and we wish Jason all the best in his future endeavors. The band remains committed to creating music and moving forward with new projects that we are excited to share with you soon. Thank you to all our fans for your continued support through this new chapter."

Evans also issued a statement, saying: "After 18 years, I am no longer the vocalist of Ingested. It feels pretty weird to say that, 'cause it's been most of my life. But I just want to thank all my family and friends for their unending support, all the friends that I've made through touring over the years, and most importantly all the fans, for making all this happen.

"This isn't the end for me. I'm happy, I'm healthy, I'm surrounded by people I love. I'm excited to find out what the next chapter in my life's gonna be. I'm proud of everything that I've achieved over the past two decades. That music's always gonna be there…"

Ingested has a North American tour coming up with Aborted, Peeling Flesh, and Stabbing next February, so they've gotta find someone to get behind the microphone pretty soon. Tickets are available here.
