Original TESTAMENT Drummer LOUIE CLEMENTE Caught The Band's Set On Long Island

Clemente played with thrash legends from 1983 to 1992.

Watch: TESTAMENT Plays First Show With DAVE LOMBARDO

Testament’s original drummer Louie Clemente caught the band’s set at The Paramount in Huntington, NY last week. Alex Skolnick posted a photo of Clemente with current drummer Dave Lombardo to his Instagram account.

The post read "FULL CIRCLE (like the shape of a drum): Here's a special backstage highlight, moments before showtime, May 5 [at the Paramount] Lou Clemente – OG drummer of TESTAMENT 1.0 (now happily retired) & Dave Lombardo, drummer of TESTAMENT '22 Huntington, NY."

Clemente joined the Testament in 1983 and played on their first five albums: The Legacy (1987), The New Order (1988), Practice What You Preach (1989), Souls of Black (1990), and The Ritual (1992).

He returned to the band briefly between 2005 and 2006 to play a string of reunion shows in Europe, but arthritis took it’s toll, and Clemente was forced to exit the tour. The seemingly omni-present Lombardo rejoined Testament earlier this year, and the band kicked off their Bay Strikes Back Tour with Exodus and Death Angel last week.
