ANDERS BJÖRLER (AT THE GATES, Ex-THE HAUNTED) Announces Solo Record With A Sick Line Up!

Ex-Haunted and current At the Gates guitarist Anders Björler announced his solo record, which includes performances from members of Meshuggah and Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects!

The ever-prolific Anders Björler will be releasing his Antikythera record on November 6 via Razzia Notes, which is the label owned by In Flames singer Anders Fridén! The record appears to be an instrumental one, what with the line-up specifications and all… speaking of which:

Anders Björler (The Haunted, At the Gates) – Guitar, Keyboards, Mellotron & Moog
Morgan Ågren (Mats & Morgan Band, Kaipa, Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects) – Drums, Percussion
Dick Lövgren (Meshuggah) – Bass
Carl Svensson – Additional Electric And Acoustic Guitars
Peter Wiberg (The Spotnicks) – Piano
Anders Gabrielson – Saxophone

Morgan Ågren and Dick Lövgren on the same record?! Color me an entire universe of excited, because that's a rhythm section for the ages! Oh, and just in case you thought the record was going to be metal, Blabbermouth makes mention that it pretty much won't:

Antikythera focuses around his love for Italian movie soundtracks from the '60s, '70s and '80s and adds a healthy dose of English prog rock, jazz, post-rock and a pinch of Swedish folk music.

I just… need this record.
