A few weeks ago we got really excited when Meshuggah's Tomas Haake said the band plans to spend the year writing, but turns out that's not the only music we'll hear from the members. Guitarist Fredrik Thordendal is currently in the studio recording another solo record. We know this because his drummer in the solo project, Morgan Ågren, said so on Facebook and Fredrik even responded about it.
For those unfamiliar, Thordendal released Sol Niger Within in 1997, under the moniker Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects. The album is a must have for any Meshuggah fan. Here is an excerpt off the CD performed live by Thordendal and Ågren.
