Black Sabbath released five fantastic albums with vocalist Tony Martin between 1987 and 1995. Though you'd never know it because they're all out of print and not on any digital streaming service.
Rumors of Martin-era reissues started in January 2022, when Martin himself said he heard there was a box set coming that same year. Then in November 2022, Martin said he was informed the reissues would be coming in 2023, a sentiment guitarist Tony Iommi echoed in a later interview.
Iommi was then asked about the Martin-era reissues again this year, to which he replied in part: "Yeah, there'll be stuff coming. If I say something, people expect it there and then. But you can't do it that quick. You have to go through the routine of, like, now we're on the Dio package, and then it'll move on and move on. The idea is, yes, the Tony Martin stuff will be coming out."
Anyway, Black Sabbath has now announced a reissue of their 1998 live album Reunion. The live album was recorded on December 4 and 5, 1997 at the NEC in Birmingham, England in celebration of Ozzy Osbourne rejoining Black Sabbath right after Martin had left the band. So we're getting closer to the Martin era, I guess?
The Reunion reissue marks the first time the album will be available on vinyl and features two Danny Saber remixes of "Psycho Man" and "Selling My Soul" on Side F. Pre-orders for the vinyl are available here.
