A New SLAYER Book Focusing On "The Jeff & Dave Years" Out Now

There are things that are pretty cool about the Slayer biography that's available right now. For one, it only costs you $6.66. Another good reason to like it is that it's written by award-winning journalist D.X. Ferris, who has done some pretty great work with places like Rolling Stone and MetalSucks. All that being said, the title is insane, wonderful, and makes me that much more excited for the book.

Slayer 66 2/3: The Jeff & Dave Years. A Metal Band Biography is a sequel of sorts to DX's previous foray into Slayer, Slayer's Reign in Blood (33 1/3), which focused on the making of that legendary album.

The book is available exclusively through Amazon currently and can even be read through the Kindle app. The digital version has links to extra material and the physical copy of the book is planned to be printed later on this month. Now about that title. Ready? Here:

"Slayer 66 & 2/3: The Jeff & Dave Years, A Metal Band Biography. From Birth To Reborn, Including Slaytanic Profiles, A New History Of The Thrash Metal Kings' Early Days, Reign In Blood Tours, A European Invasion, The Palladium Riot, The Seat Cushion Chaos Concert, The Whole Diabolical Discography, Newly Unearthed Details From Dave Lombardo's Turbulent History With The Band, Artwork And Photos You've Probably Never Seen Before, Jeff Hanneman's Hard Times, The Big Four's Big Year, Lombardo's Final Exit, The Top 11 Hanneman Tributes, The Mosh Memorial Service, Untold Stories, Updates, Relevant Digressions, And More Scenes From The Abyss."

I hope when they print the book that fit the entire title on the cover stylized as the Slayer logo. I'd buy two. The book literally covers Slayer's entire career all the way up to their 2013 fall tour, which means all the crazy drama (that's just the most recent!) and soul-crushing passing of Jeff Hanneman will be in there. Between this and Lamb of God's Randall Blythe's new book, I think I have my reading all cut out for me!
