THE CONTORTIONIST Enters The Studio With Their New Vocalist

So this is probably going to be in my Top 10 for the year.

So this is probably going to be in my Top 10 for the year.

About that time again, eh?

The Contortionist have announced that they have entered The Basement Recording Studio in Winston-Salem, N.C. with producer Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me) for a new record probably out at some point this year. This will be the band's first record with Last Chance to Reason vocalist Mike Lessard on board now that old vocalist Jonathan Carpenter left the band for personal reasons.

I foresee nothing but awesome jams coming from this, dare I say their best yet! The PRP got a hold of the band's guitarist Robby Baca for comment about the upcoming record and how it'll sound.

“We’re pretty stoked to be in the studio again, especially with Jamie King. Some of my favorite records have come out of this corner of the woods, here in Winston-Salem, NC. We’re also unquestionably psyched about Mike Lessard‘s voice on these new tracks. This record seems to be a good mix of old and new TC, and Mike‘s wide range of animal noises should make this one a real banger.”
