Mayhem have given us three songs off their upcoming album Esoteric Warfare and they've been getting progressively more… boring. Mayhem seems like the kind of band that I could know what to expect by now to some extent, but "Throne of Time" is just more of the same. Save for a few little strange parts it's just machine-gun guitars and double bass through and through until the song ends. I get cementing a sound as a band, but there has got to be more to this album than just ridiculously fast-paced everything.
