Decapitated have been working on a new album since February. In March, they confirmed the addition of drummer Michal Lysejko and that they were recording at Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland but since then, they've been relatively mum.
Mum, no more! Today, the band announced they will release their next album, Blood Mantra on September 6th.
Their last album, Carnival is Forever was in some serious rotation on my music player and I expect the same when this crusher is released in September. This quote from founding guitarist, Wacław “Vogg” Kiełtyka only gets me more excited:
“Extreme and groove – I think that’s the best way to describe our new album. This time we feel that we have something totally crushing and huge. ‘Blood Mantra’ is the most heavy and mature album we ever did in our career. I cannot wait to start to play songs live because riffs are so deep and powerful.”
